Buses from Denver Airport with Bus Routes and Times
The Public bus service within the metro area is provided by the Regional Transportation District (RTD). The bus station is located at the airport Transit Center, on the first level and can be found at the south end of the Jeppesen Terminal.
The service operates from approximately 3:30 am to 00.00, with the last bus leaving the airport at 1:28 am. Denver Airport serves routes 145X, 169L, AA, AB and AT and buses, which are all wheelchair accessible, they depart every 15 minutes approx. during peak hours and the ticket price is about $9 (one-day pass).
Passengers should purchase their ticket at the vending machines available at both the Transit Center and Denver International Airport. Tickets are also available at the RTD Information Booth.
For further information regarding schedules, please contact RTD website (https://www.rtd-denver.com) or contact +1 (303) 299-6000.
Note that there’s also a RTD information booth at DEN Transit Center.
At the bus station and in the bus: All bus stops have red and white signs that list each bus route that stops at that location. When you see your Bus, check the sign above the windshield to double check if this is indeed the bus you want. Do not rush, wait for the bus to come to a stop before trying to get on it!
Drivers do not carry or give change so make sure you have the exact amount (bills, coins) or a pass before you get on the bus. If you need to change buses to get to your final destination, ask the driver for a transfer slip, which you can show on your next bus.
RTD offers a variety of pass programs, which can save you money off regular fares. If you purchase passes or ticket books in advance, you will not have to worry about having the exact change every time you take the bus. Sometimes you may have to pull the "Stop Request" cord to let the driver know you want to get off. The bus exit is through the rear door, if the bus has two doors. Always wait for the bus to leave before you cross the street, and never walk in front of the bus.
Furthermore, scheduled bus services are also available to points such as Fort Collins and van services stretch into Nebraska, Wyoming and Colorado summer and ski resort areas.
In addition to regular bus service around metro Denver, the Regional Transportation District (RTD) bus fleet offers a whole host of special rides, and services for people with limited mobility, fare discounts, pass programs, for frequent travelers, and free rides for active duty military.
A skyRide makes hourly runs to Denver International Airport from 18 free park-n-Rides around the city. Riders pay fares of $7, $9 or $11, depending on location, and drivers can assist with luggage. All RTD services, maps, routes, park-n-Rides and fares are detailed on RTD's excellent bi-lingual website https://www.rtd-denver.com
Note: RTD buses no longer serve the stop at West Terminal, Level 5.
